Notification Settings
ChatReact keeps you informed about important events through in-app notifications and email. You can fully customize your notification preferences to match your workflow.
Accessing Notification Settings
Navigate to Account → Notifications in your dashboard to configure your preferences.
Notification Email
You can configure a dedicated email address for chat review notifications in your company settings:
- Go to Company Settings → Notification Settings
- Enter the email address where review notifications should be sent
- Save your changes — the form suggests the company owner's email address, but it only takes effect once you save it
Chat review emails are only sent once a notification email address has been saved. They are part of the Improvement Agent, available on Professional plan and above.
Each chat review email includes the conversation and rating buttons, so you can rate a chat as good or bad directly from your inbox. See the Improvement Agent guide for the full review and rating workflow.
Per-Chatbot Review Email Settings
In addition to the company-wide email address, each chatbot has its own chat review email controls on the chatbot's Confidence tab:
- Chat Review Emails: A toggle to enable or disable review emails for this chatbot
- Email frequency per category: For each answer category, choose how often review emails are sent — After every chat, Every X hours, Daily, Weekly, or Never
Global Settings
Email Notifications
Toggle to receive notifications via email. When disabled, you'll only see notifications in the dashboard bell icon.
In-App Notifications
Toggle to see notifications in the dashboard. These appear in the bell icon in the top navigation bar.
Delivery Frequency
Choose how often you want to receive email notifications:
- Instant: Receive emails immediately when events occur
- Hourly: Receive a digest email every hour (if there are new notifications)
- Daily: Receive a daily digest at your preferred time
- Weekly: Receive a weekly digest on your preferred day and time
Digest Settings
When using Daily or Weekly frequency:
- Delivery Time: Choose what time to receive your digest (e.g., 09:00)
- Delivery Day: For weekly digests, choose which day of the week
- Timezone: Select your timezone (used to determine your quiet hours)
Quiet Hours
Enable quiet hours to pause instant email notifications during specific hours (e.g., overnight). In-app notifications will still appear immediately, and digest emails follow their regular schedule, but no instant notification emails are sent during this window.
- Start: When to start pausing emails (e.g., 22:00)
- End: When to resume emails (e.g., 08:00)
Notification Types
You can customize each type of notification individually, choosing whether to receive it via email, in-app, or both.
