Getting Started
This guide will walk you through creating your ChatReact account and setting up your first AI chatbot.
1. Create Your Account
Sign Up Options
ChatReact uses passwordless authentication via Magic Links:
- Enter your email address
- Receive a secure login link via email
- Click the link to sign in - no password needed!
Registration Steps
- Visit chatreact.ai and click "Start Free Trial"
- Enter your email address
- Check your inbox and click the magic link to sign in
Free accounts include 100 chats per month and 1 chatbot. No credit card required.
2. Complete Onboarding
After signing up, you'll be guided through the onboarding process:
Step 1: Your Profile
- Enter your name (this will be displayed in your account)
Step 2: Create or Join a Company
- New users: Create a new company
- Enter your company name
- Optionally enter your website URL and click Analyze — ChatReact auto-fills your company name, brand color, logo, and an AI-generated company description, which you can edit before continuing
- Existing team: If a teammate invited you, open the invitation link from your email to join their company — no company creation needed
The website analysis sets up your company profile and branding. To make your chatbot learn from your website content, run a website scan in the Knowledge Base afterwards.
3. Create Your First Chatbot
After onboarding, you'll be directed to create your first chatbot using the Chatbot Wizard.
The wizard guides you through 8 simple steps:

| 8. Summary | Review and create |
Only Step 1 (Basics) and Step 8 (Summary) are required. All other steps can be configured later.
4. Add Knowledge
Right after the wizard finishes, ChatReact opens a guided Knowledge Setup: scan your website (preview the discovered pages and choose which to import) and upload documents — or skip and add knowledge later.
You can add more knowledge at any time to make your chatbot smarter:
Option 1: Scan Your Website
- Go to Knowledge Base in the sidebar
- Enter your website URL and click Preview Pages
- Review the discovered pages and select which ones to import — recommended pages are preselected for you
- Click Import Pages and ChatReact will extract and learn from your content
Option 2: Upload Documents
- Go to Knowledge Base in the sidebar
- Drag and drop your files into the Upload Documents section
- Supported formats: PDF, TXT, Markdown, CSV, JSON, DOCX (max 10 MB per file)
Option 3: Add FAQs Manually
- Go to FAQs in the sidebar
- Click Add FAQ
- Enter question and answer pairs
- Your chatbot will use these for accurate responses
Option 4: Core Instructions
- Go to Knowledge Base in the sidebar
- In the Core Instructions section, click Add Instruction to add specific rules your chatbot should always follow
- Examples: "Always recommend our premium plan first" or "Never discuss competitor products"
5. Embed on Your Website
Once configured, add ChatReact to your website:
